Overview

practicum training program; Provided by teacher preparation institutions; under its supervision over a limited period of time; With the aim of providing an opportunity for student teachers to apply what they have learned of theoretical subjects in practice while they are actually teaching in educational institutions; Which leads to achieving familiarity between them and the human and material elements in these institutions, and providing them with the educational competencies necessary for them.

Description of the practical part:

The student should be able to apply the practical aspect of his academic and educational specialization.

Training the student teacher on teaching methods in a scientific way.

Training the student teacher on the design and use of various educational aids.

Intended learning outcomes

1. The student-teacher should formulate varied educational objectives for a subject he/she is going to teach.

2. The student should use teaching methods in a scientific manner.

3. The student-teacher should design an educational material for a subject he/she is teaching

4. The student should plan the daily lessons in a scientifically correct way.

5. The student should explain the methods and ways of how to prepare the students mentally and psychologically

6. The student teacher should take into account the basics of formulating varied educational objectives for a subject he/she is going to teach.

7. The student teacher should be able to use teaching methods in a scientific and creative way that attracts the attention the pupils’ attention

8. The student-teacher should be able to design an innovative e-learning method to interest his/her pupils.

9. The student teacher should design a daily lesson plan in a scientific and creative way.

10. The student teacher should discover the methods of preparing the pupils mentally and psychologically

11. The student should employ what he/she learned in the educational materials in properly formulating educational objectives.

12. To use methods of moral reinforcement in the classroom

13. The student teacher should use specific teaching aids for explanation

14. The student teacher should apply the steps of preparing the daily plan

15. The student should use all the methods he/she knows to prepare the pupils mentally and psychologically.

Teaching and learning methods

The ways and methods which are used for students to acquire knowledge and skills during the course are:

1. Lectures and workshops for the student teacher in the field of teaching methods, teaching aids and evaluation and measurement.

2. Regular meeting and weekly follow-up

3. Supervisors’ field visits (educational and specialist)
